The Financial Services company, a leader in the pension market, has over 250 staff in its head office. TQS tendered for the outsourcing provision of their IT department in 2015 and since has provided them with a managed service.
TQS’ Approach and Solution
TQS supply 1.5 FTE members of staff onsite, and the Technical Director leads the IT strategy and advises the SMT on emerging technologies.
Since 2018, TQS has undertaken many projects for them including:
- The rollout of new systems also with the recent upgrade of the core windows servers
- TQS upgraded their entire network to Server 2019 along with changing the internal domain name over a bank holiday weekend.
- As part of the implementation, their internal network was integrated with their Office 365 tenant, to provide a single login for both the computer network and email systems.
In 2019, they carried out a merger with a large pension provider with TQS assisting in integrating two departments from the financial services company with the pension provider, resulting in the creation of a central IT network and helpdesk. These systems and processes have been fine-tuned over the years and are still in place today.
The Senior Management team were very impressed with this installation and as such, we were commissioned to also roll out a new web server during the following half term.
